As all of us fret and fume over the ongoing writers’ strike, many of our favorite shows continue to suffer and even face the possibility of not having any new content for the current season.
However, as a silver-lining, the current crisis brings some real good news for die-hard fans of the otherwise overlooked Supernatural. An American paranormal drama television series, the show is filmed in Canada and debuted in September, 2005.
The show basically revolves around Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers who travel across the country in a black 1967 Chevy Impala in an attempt to investigate and combat paranormal events and other such unexplained occurences. Many of these are based on American urban legends and folklore along with the classic supernatural creatures such as vampires, werewolves and ghosts. Meanhwile, fans complain that the show has somehow always received a step-motherly treatment, being given some of the least preferred timeslots.
What stands out for this wonderful show is that despite of not being given the best of preferences earlier, it enjoys one of the most loyal and dedicated fanbase. The show is all set to have a major slot in the fall 2008 schedule, especially in the view of the fact that the ones like Reaper and Gossip Girl haven’t been enjoying very high ratings.
